![]() Not a good impression for customers to have, in my opinion. What if I had $1,000 worth of GE on my account and it was all spent on stupid stuff? This interaction with Gaijin has left me with a massively negative opinion of them, knowing that any money I spend on the game is not protected in any way should the worst happen. Originally posted by BlackFoxSamaki:It's really frustrating for me, knowing that they are so unhelpful. See the comparable actions here? I've been using accounts in games ever since runescape first released, and i've never in 20+ years have had my accounts stolen or broken into, because i use 2FA, strong passwords, and im protected. You decide not to use it anyways, the car gets broken into, and then you're whining to your insurance company about why are they not paying for the damages of losing the car because you didnt use the car alarm system, tracker, and left the doors open. The car insurance company explicitly tells you to use the inbuilt car alarm and tracker to be insured in case of break-in attempts. This more like is comparable to you buying a car. Well, for one, if a customer uses their supposed two factor authentications, taking over an account is next to impossible unless you purposely give your credentials one way or another to a hacker. I really don't want to ever spend money again, knowing that if the worst should happen, Gaijin will do nothing to help me. Instead they just told me they don't help people that are attacked. I am lucky Gaijin didn't decide I was somehow at fault for being attacked. Knowing someone that this has happened to has made me spend less money on WT and I plan on working that number down to 0 dollars, just too risky. I have in recent years become a bit more unsure of these online services where you can lose everything with a TOS violation or by getting hacked and the person who hacks your account uses a cheat and gets the account banned. If someone hacks your account and spends stuff and you get your account back then at least you have gotten your account back. I also believe that it is against the TOS to allow someone else to log into your account and play (a policy that I don't agree with but it is in there). While I understand the stand point of people need to use better security and there is probably concerns that some people may cheat then just claim that they were hacked. Doc:I do think that this is an issue with them, they really should do more to help their player base regain their accounts. I am just happy I did not have GE loaded on my account, I could have lost hundreds, thousands of dollars and Gaijin would just kick dirt on me and laugh. So take steps to make sure your account is extra secure, because if you have a ton of SL and GE and someone hacks in and wastes it all, Gaijin won't lift a finger to help you recover your money or even set things back to how they were before. ![]() "we do not revert such operations performed on an account." They got back to me after 4 days and all they said was to do things I had already done and that in regards to resetting my SL and RP: Thankfully, I noticed the activity on a day that I didn't play and took steps to secure my account, along with sending a support ticket to Gaijin asking if there was anything else I should do and if they could reset my SL and RP and everything else to what it was before I was hacked. Earlier this month, my account was hacked and someone spent all my SL that I had banked up, around 400,000 if I remember correctly.
